Budget Friendly Beach Destinations

Budget Friendly Beach Destinations

The warmer weather is creeping up on us, so where else would we rather be lying than on the beach? But don't worry! You don't need to splash the cash for sizzling summer holiday incentives, as there are plenty of fantastic destinations in the UK.

Treat your employees to a day in the sun for all their hard work or plan some water sports for a teambuilding weekend. Just imagine, the sand is between your feet, fish and chips on the go, and a nice cold beverage in hand, this is something your colleagues could be talking about for months!

If you need help planning a trip to a seaside town near you, don't hesitate to get into contact with us: hello@a-igroup.co.uk

Here's our Top 5 places in the UK for the best Staycation:

Padstow
Located in North Cornwall, Padstow is a principal fishing town, meaning you'll get the freshest food at some of the country's best seafood restaurant, including a few by celebrity chef Rick Stein. The harbour offers a tranquil vibe, but is full of boats, many of which offer a cruise around the Camel Estuary. There are lots of pretty beaches nearby, but if sand isn't your thing then why not try your hand at crabbing in the harbour or walk around the chic shops and boutiques.

Scarborough
Here in North Yorkshire you will find yourself at Britain's very first seaside resort. The main attraction is the long sandy beach, where you will find ice-cream vans, donkey rides and rock-pools to enhance the experience. If by chance you get caught on an off day, why not relive your youth and play on the slot machines in an arcade or visit Scarborough Castle for a bit of local history. If you're a literature lover, you can visit St. Mary's Church where just next door is Anne Brontë's grave.

Newquay
Fistral Beach is a vibrant surfers paradise and is very Instagram-worthy when the sun is shining! Not only can you learn to surf here, but throughout the year Fistral regularly holds sporting and music events, mostly renown for Boardmasters and Electric Beach Festival. Amongst the beach there are some terraced bars so that you can quench your thirst after a long day sunbathing- one bar, The Stable, has over 80 refreshing ciders to pick from!

Torquay
Here you really are spoilt for choice! Amongst the 22 mile stretch of the English Riviera coastline there are 20 beaches and coves. Some are smaller than other, and some are very secluded which could be a perfect team-bonding day out! If you're into water-sports, fishing or boating, it's worth a visit because the coastline of Torbay has a wide variety on offer.

Tenby
Located in Wales, this beach has been described as one of the best beaches in the UK. Surrounded by pretty pastel buildings, the cobbled streets and beaches have charmed tourists time and time again. There's not one, but four beaches to choose from in Tenby, and you can also reach the wonderful island of St Catherine's at low tide. Coastal walks are a must for views.

Know of more places that aren't on our list that you would like to hear more about? Then get in contact! We wouldn't shy from helping organise a coastal weekend away for your team, or for an incentive prize.
