Top Technology Tips to Advance Your Business.

Top Technology to advance your business.

Let's face it, we're not living in the dark ages anymore! Technology is advancing more and more every day and we should try to keep up with it and the advantages it can bring to our businesses and events. Below we've come up with 5 Technology Tips to use that could advance your business into the modern age.

Podcasts

Podcasts are only becoming more prominent as technology advances, but why? There are a few reasons as to why. Firstly, they are much more intimate, and you perhaps feel like to connect more with the person speaking than you would reading through pages of work. Many people also like to wind down after work so the thought of sitting down after work and going through papers intheir spare time might seem like a drag, where as a podcast can be listened to in the car or on the train, or even whilst doing their daily workout. Podcasts enable people to come away from a computer screen and take in the information more. Regularly hosting podcasts could help with your confidence with speaking in public, as a result conferences, meetings and presentations won't seem as much of a chore. Podcasts are also quick and simple to make, you can go to the lengths of getting a recording microphone or you can simply just record yourself on a phone.

Livestream

Livestreaming an event is so simple and there are numerous platforms in which you can do this. You can go down the route of just livestreaming from your companies website, or you can test the waters and livestream to social media! Yes that's right, Facebook and Instagram both allow Livestreaming, which will spread to a wide audience thus getting your brand noticed by more people. Livestreaming allows your fellow employees to also know what is going on and keeps them in the loop, making the work environment a happier place.

After Event Survey

Create a survey that people can take the time to answer before they leave the event. For example if you're in a conference or at an event you can use tablets or iPads to give out to people with simple yes or no, or scores of 0-10 questions which aren't time consuming to answer. You could ask your audience to answer your Survey's before they leave this ensures that you'll have all the data you need, and they leave their feedback whilst it's still fresh in their mind.

Mobile Event guide apps

It can be somewhat tedious and confusing looking for event information online. Why not create an app that allows your attendees to find the event easily, how to get there and what time is will start and finish, which floor it's on, and what it's all about! This way there won't be any confusion and it keeps attendees happy and could possibly entice more.

iPad/Tablet/App voting system

Creating polls via an iPad/Tablet is simple yet effective. Some people in your audience might not vote according to their own beliefs if you use the old school method of "Put your hand up if.." as they might just follow the crowd. This system can be private and anonymous which will allow the audience to feel more comfortable when voting, which will leave you with honest and accurate data.
