It's only a few weeks until Christmas and we like to think in advance! It's a great time now to implement a Christmassy incentive to get people in the mood and to keep them engaged and inspired in order to drive sales and keep motivation up! What else can give people the break they need than a Christmas travel incentive here's what we've found to keep your employees merry throughout the holiday season:
During the Christmas season Berlin is massively popular – this is because of the Christmas Markets. That's right, there isn't just one Christmas Market in Berlin, there are many! But one we recommend is the Gendarmenmarkt. The market has a beautiful backdrop of 17th-18th Century cathedrals. You should dress as warmly as possible as the weather will be dark, damp and will probably be in the minus degrees! The markets are all about eating and drinking with authentic goods! An average flight time from the UK to Berlin is 1h and 50 minutes. Not long at all, so what are you waiting for?
You've seen the films, you know the ones that include the Empire State Building with the Ice Rink and the HUGE tree with twinkling lights. Well it's no exaggeration, that's what its really like! New York is an iconic location for Christmas, they decorations are all still up at the beginning of January too! Visiting the infamous tree at the Rockefeller Centre before strapping on your ice skates must be top of your list when coming to The City That Never Sleeps. Shop till you drop on Fifth Avenue, have Breakfast at Tiffany's or take in the sights from the top of the Empire State Building. Wait for the snow – it's inevitable.
Visit Santa and the reindeers in Lapland
What else could plaster a bigger grin on your employees face than a trip to Lapland with their family? Go and meet the big man himself with all sorts of experiences included! Choose from sleigh-rides through Santa's Village or a private dinner with Santa. How does a day exploring in a snowmobile or on a husky ride sound? Almost too good to be true! There's not a chance you'll come home not feeling Christmassy. This trip is ensured to give you memories to last a lifetime!
Now we know everyone's budgets doesn't stretch to Lapland, but you can have some fun in the UK, and still be away from home!
It might not quite be Berlin, but every Winter Birmingham hosts a German Market. It's the largest outdoor market in the country, and proudly the biggest outside of Germany and Austria. Sample some sizzling bratwursts, sup on German Steins or equally as enjoyable a warm cider and baileys hot chocolate will do! Shop around the stalls and have fun on the ice rink and big wheel. Who needs to get on a plane to experience some authenticity when it's right on our doorstep? Have a few tasty tipples and fall back into your hotel room after a brilliant starlit night.
