Incentives that go Bump in the Night

Halloween, it comes around once a year, and it might seem like a strange thing to incentivise, but you can. The last few months of year can be a drag and team morale can sink with the pressures leading up to the Christmas period. Motivate your team to push hard for the last quarter with these fun things to work towards/be rewarded with. Some can be costly, but others can cost nothing – but it will be worth every penny to keep your staff engaged for the last few months of the year.

1. Scarefest, Alton Towers
Spooks, frights and thrills are something to expect. With a variety of dates available, the event takes place across October and November. The resort becomes home to Halloween and stays open late enabling you to enjoy rides in the dark. But you didn't think you were getting away that easily did you? You'll need some wits about you when entering the scare mazes!

2. Day of the Dead, Mexico
Who doesn't love an incentive trip? The day of the dead differs in the traditions, as the point is to demonstrate love for deceased ones. But the skeletons and sugar skulls are enough to put us in the spirit! This is also recognised by UNESCO. The two day festival is a fantastic celebration of life surrounded by bright colours and decorations.

3. Murder Mystery
Fancy enjoying a three-course dinner and then be immersed in a murder mystery plot. Different scenes will be going on around you by professional actors, whom will play the suspects and the victims. Actors will be there mingling with guests throughout the evening where you can ask them questions to help solve the case!

4. Host a Film Screening
Something that becomes more prominent around Halloween is a good horror film, why not spare a couple hours of the day for your staff to all watch a Horror film, all you need is a projector/TV some good black out curtains and some tasty treats, oh and maybe a pillow to hide behind. Not only will it give their brain a rest it will recharge their batteries for the rest of the day, or even show it for the last couple of hours on a Friday as a treat.

5. Halloween Party
No celebration is complete without a party! Treat your staff to a fancy-dress party. You can keep it simple and just invite people to wear their costumes to work or even pick a theme. It allows people to let their hair down and interact with each other more. Classic games like apple bobbing can be included too as they are sure to create a few giggles.
